this platform forces improvised and extreme innovation in performance due to its nature of taking away and element of control from the performer.

a technology

using opensourced or proprietary software [eventually developing its own hardware] the environment would be entirely automated and all lighting and master mixing desk would be computer controlled with no human interface.

a networked space

the community would decide who were potential pairings, vote on the favorite and pay for delivery before even leaving their seat. this could make "RAVE-OFF" pay for itself. maybe even through a myspace plug-in [gosh]

a party

essentially the "RAVE-Off" would be an interesting platform for collaboration and innovation and other sick words. but never masquerading as anything more than a rave off. appearing as a 'versus' battle, the performers would actually be 'jamming' and generally raving each other up.

“RAVE-OFF” [physical plug-in]  version 1beta

objectives and outline proposed to arts council and Enter_Festival.

The "rave-off" stage adaptor is a physical PLUG-IN. this Adaptor will be used to transform the stage for a rendition of the all new fully automated, computer-controlled performance platform and conceptual experimental night club - "rave-off". The automated rave club takes away certain elements of control from the performers, rendering them into components of the show leaving only improvisation, whether it be with or against each other as a tool for survival ... until the inevitable precise automation of technology reins supreme creating compositions from the "components" improvisation.

• will be a performance on many levels
• will now be programmed by JsP
• not sure who will be comparing
• component pairing for version one shall consist of derehctub and mnh
• the first experiment will take in front of an audience as this is a vital component
